Go Green & Clean Campaign

2016 Go Green & Clean Business Recognition Program

The new Business Recognition Program for Mayor Laurie Gill's Go Green and Clean initiative began last summer and is sharing its initial successes as the 2016 campaign launches in April.

The new program for the popular city-wide initiative is designed to encourage, measure and recognize Green and Clean efforts by local businesses.  A committee of volunteers will select several participating businesses throughout the year to highlight Green and Clean activities happening in our city every day.  The first business to be featured is Delta Dental, which includes energy and resource efficiency in its building and operations.  Click here to read the article.

Go Green & Clean Campaign Enters it's 7th Year

Welcome! Thank you for checking out our "Go Green and Clean Campaign" for the City of Pierre. This is not a campaign for public office. It is a campaign for a "call to service." I am asking citizens of the City of Pierre to work with me to help green up and clean up our community. I'm asking you to consider volunteering some of your valuable time to help keep Pierre an attractive place in which to live, work, and play. Read the full message from the mayor.

The City of Pierre is promoting a campaign to spruce up and keep our community looking green and clean! We have a brief presentation on the campaign. The program has seasonal themes to help guide the residents, businesses, and organizational groups of the City of Pierre to pitch in and help. To find out more information on how you can support the Go Green and Clean Campaign, email Tom Farnsworth Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Pierre.
