PIERRE, S.D. –Weather permitting, the intersection of Capitol and Jefferson Avenues will close Wednesday, June 28, shortly after 8 a.m. for storm sewer repairs. The intersection will remain closed until construction is complete; the intersection is expected to reopen Friday, June 30.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Storm sewer maintenance allows for the proper disposal of storm water and helps preserve streets and sidewalks. If storm sewers aren’t working properly, water pools on streets and causes deterioration.
