Poplar Avenue, between Dakota and Missouri Aves., will close Wednesday, April 30, for underground water utility work.
Barring complications, the closure is anticipated to lift by Thursday, May 1. Until the street is reopened, all traffic should detour around the area.
The City of Pierre maintains more than 100 miles of water main.
