(PIERRE, SD) – If you don’t already have lunch plans this Friday, consider spending your noon hour at Pierre Rawlins Municipal Library. The library is hosting a Brown Bag eBook Program from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on September 18.
During the program, patrons will learn how to browse, search and download ebooks and audiobooks from rawlinslibrary.org and South Dakota Libraries To Go –an online digital media provider.
Library Director, Robin Schrupp, says that she’s encouraging people to pack a lunch, and enjoy it at the library while learning to utilize the online service.
“We recognize that people are really busy. We’re trying to make it easy for people to learn how to use these tools, without having to give up their lunch breaks, their evenings, or their weekends,” said Schrupp.
Rawlins Library currently offers nearly 17,000 ebooks and audio books online through the South Dakota Libraries To Go consortia. Library card holders also have access to another 1,200 titles that Rawlins has purchased through a partner program and are available specifically for Rawlins patrons.
