PIERRE, S.D. – West Capitol Avenue between North Poplar Avenue and West Elizabeth Street, and North Poplar Avenue between West Capitol Avenue and West Fifth Street, will close this week for construction.
The streets will close late this afternoon and will remain closed through Friday, May 13, while crews remove asphalt surfacing. Both segments of road are scheduled for resurfacing later this month.
Through traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes.
