[ARCHIVED] Northwest Pierre to Experience Low Water Pressure

Northwest Pierre to Experience Low Water Pressure

PIERRE, SD – Some city utility customers may experience low water pressure tomorrow, June 1, while the City Water Department upgrades the water main in northeast Pierre.

People living west of Euclid Avenue between Eighth and Fourth Streets, including River Rim and River View Drive, should expect low pressure between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Impacted property owners should refrain from utilizing irrigation systems during the low water pressure period.

The City of Pierre maintains more than 100 miles of water main. In a typical year, the City provides more than 1-billion gallons of water to its customers.
