Public input regarding the purchase of a new Pierre City Hall will be taken during next week’s City Commission meeting.
Pierre Mayor Steve Harding says that dozens of people have talked to him in the last several weeks expressing their support for the city’s plan to purchase a new city hall. Nonetheless, Harding is still encouraging community members to contact the commission.
“I just want to remind people that they have the opportunity share their thoughts on the City’s plan,” said Pierre Mayor Steve Harding. “People are welcome to attend the commission meeting on Tuesday night or to contact the commission before then.”
Community members can reach out to any of the commission members or contact City Hall at 773.7407. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for public input during the Pierre City Commission meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 15. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
