[ARCHIVED] Middle School Students Promote Go Green Campaign

The City of Pierre is seeking volunteers, organizations, youth, business's and any interested citizen to participate in the 5th annual "Go Green and Clean" campaign. The annual event kicks off with a celebration of Earth Day on April 22 beginning at 4 pm at the Boys and Girls Club. Mayor Gill will address the students and visitors at 3:50 pm then youth will participate in the events organized by the Boys and Girls Club, Discovery Center and Rawlins Library staff.

The week concludes with a public lands clean up event on Saturday morning April 26 beginning at 8:15am at Griffin Park. There are several public land sites that could use volunteers to walk and pick up litter. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided.
