No Travel Advised in Pierre
PIERRE, S.D. –Because of extremely treacherous travel conditions, no travel is advised within the City of Pierre.
City snowplow operators are working to keep some emergency snow routes passable for emergency response vehicles.
“These conditions shouldn’t be taken lightly,” said Brad Palmer, City Utilities Director. “If you don’t have to leave your house, don’t.”
Additionally, the City is advising that people avoid putting snow on the streets. Additional snow on the roadways will amplify poor road conditions.
