Sanitary Sewer Line Inspections
Beginning Tuesday, May 28, sanitary sewer mains throughout the City of Pierre will undergo cleaning and inspections. This is in preparation for rehabilitation of the mains later this summer.
This initial cleaning and inspection process is expected to be done by June 14. Minor short-term traffic disruptions can be anticipated in impacted residential areas. To limit traffic disruptions, work along major thoroughfares will be completed overnight.
This summer, the City will reline approximately 8,600 feet of sanitary sewer.
