[ARCHIVED] Inflatable Games Now Available for Parties

SOCCER DARTS

Add human foosball and giant soccer darts to the party options at the City Recreation Facility.

This fall, the City announced its gym attached to Boys and Girls Club was available for the public to rent for sports events or birthday parties. Now the City is adding to its birthday party offerings with new inflatables.

“We did a Facebook survey to see which inflatable games our community would find most interesting,” said Mindy Cheap, City Recreation Superintendent. “Those who responded came back with human foosball and soccer darts.”

Those new features have now arrived and are available for rent along with the gym space. According to Cheap, if you’re hosting a private birthday party at the Recreation Facility, the inflatables come at no extra cost.

“You just have to let us know which one you want set up, and it’ll be ready for you when you get there,” said Cheap.

Also on hand for people using the space are tables and chairs, as well as basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, nerf wars and floor hockey equipment. City staff can also help facilitate the party and cleanup afterwards.

Cheap says that the party space is available for up to 20 kids ages six and up.  And the party space can be reserved in either 90 minute or two-hour time blocks. The two-hour party costs $100; the 90 minute party costs $75.

This recreational facility is the newest addition to City property that is available for reservation. Other properties include the Griffin Park Storm Shelter Community Room, the Pierre Native Arboretum Pavilion and Wedding Arbor, the Steamboat Park Amphitheater, and a number of City-owned sports fields.

For a list of rental facilities, fees, facility use agreements, or to reserve space, visit cityofpierre.org or call Pierre City Hall at 605.773.7407.
