Intersection Closure: Elizabeth and Northstar
Weather pending, the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Northstar Avenue will close Monday, May 23.
The City Street Department will rebuild the intersection; it will then be paved by Morris, Inc. The intersection is expected to reopen by the end of the month.
During construction, motorists should detour to Crested Avenue.
The city maintains 80 miles of streets, more than 100 miles of water main, and more than 60 miles of sanitary sewer. Each year, city staff assess the streets, in addition to utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
