Missouri Ave., between Fort and Pierre Streets, will close on Monday, Sept. 19 for water main replacement
The block of Missouri will remain closed until the underground utility work is complete and the street is paved. The project is expected to be complete by mid-October. Access will be maintained for local traffic only. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The city maintains 80 miles of street, more than 100 miles of water main, and more than 60 miles of sanitary sewer. Each year, city staff assess the streets, in addition to utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
