Street Closure: Central Ave.
Central Ave., between Missouri and Dakota Avenues, will close on Wednesday, Sept. 28 for street work.
The block of Central will remain closed until it is rebuilt and paved. The project is expected to be complete by the end of October. Access will be maintained for local traffic only. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The city maintains 80 miles of street, more than 100 miles of water main, and more than 60 miles of sanitary sewer. Each year, city staff assess the streets, in addition to utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
