Rawlins Library: December Programming
Get into the holiday spirit at Rawlins Library this December. You’ll find Santa, a candy cane hunt, and a gingerbread forest in this month’s programming.

ADULT BOOK CLUB (Tuesday nights)
Dec. 6, 13, & 20, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The Club will read How the Penguins Saved Veronica. Water and coffee are provided to participants. To reserve a book or join the club, email rawlinslibrary@ci.pierre.sd.us, call, or sign up in person.

FIRST FRIDAY FREE PLAY

Rawlins Library has many assets for you to experiment and learn with. Try out the puppets, white boards, games, gadgets and more. Open to all ages.
MEET SANTA AND THE GRINCH
Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Families can meet Santa, meet the Grinch, and get their picture taken with them. Additionally, families will be invited to build gingerbread houses, watch Miracle on 34th Street, and enjoy hot cocoa and refreshments. Plus, holiday gift wrapping will be provided for a small donation.
BINGO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: ELEMENTARY
Monday, Dec. 5, 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Elementary school students are invited to the library for some after school Bingo fun. The program is free; no registration necessary.
MYSTERY GAME NIGHT
Wednesday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
People 18 and over are invited to Rawlins Library for a Mystery Game Night. RSVP by contacting the library at 605.773.7421. Registration is required.
THE CONFLICT IN THE UKRAINE
Thursday, Dec. 8, 12 p.m.
Pierre resident and native Ukrainian Nataliya Rezek will discuss her most recent visit to the Ukraine. The program is free and open to the public.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CRAFT DAY
Monday, Dec. 12, 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Middle school students are invited to Rawlins Library to create a gingerbread forest. Crafting supplies are provided.
CANDY CANE HUNT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Monday, Dec. 12, 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
The hunt is on for candy canes at the library. Elementary school students are invited to join the holiday hunt. The program is free; no registration necessary.

LEGOS FOR ALL AGES

The library will haul out its war chest of Legos for kids of all ages to create Lego masterpieces. The program is free and open to the public.

It’s all about fun and games at Rawlins Library. Grab a friend and join others for an afternoon of board games. The program is free and open to kids of all ages.
