JUNE 2026
Pre-Kindergarten Stories and Craft Time
Infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-K, and their caregivers are invited to Rawlins Library’s Pre-Kindergarten Stories and Craft Time. The program begins with storytelling and songs followed by time for a fun craft. Participants will enjoy making a new craft at each session of Pre-Kindergarten Stories and Craft Time.

The building continues… Join us for the summer version of “Fun with LEGO Club”. Make a custom creation using the Library’s large collection of bricks, minifigures, and more. Participants enjoy a take-home snack after the program.

Summer Fun with Sidewalk Chalk
Participants will have fun decorating the library’s sidewalks using colorful chalk, dinosaur stencils and their own designs. Following the sidewalk chalk portion of the program, kids will have time for a cool-down snack. Attention: Sidewalk chalk can get messy. Please wear clothing that can get dirty.

Bingo for Books is a great way to relax on a summer afternoon. Bingo winners select a free book from our updated collection of picture books, non-fiction titles, and chapter books. Participants enjoy a take-home snack after the program.

Summer Fun with Puzzles and Scratch Art
Does your family love doing puzzles? How about relaxing scratch art? The “Puzzles and Scratch Art” program will help kids sharpen their fine motor skills by sorting edge pieces, completing the frame, and placing the middle pieces. Scratch art is a calming form of creativity. Participants enjoy a take-home snack after the program.

Baking Soda Dinosaur Eggs
Join us for “Craft and Create for Kids”, a program featuring fun projects for kids in grade school, tweens, and teens. Participants will make baking soda dinosaur eggs during this session of “Craft and Create for Kids”. All it takes is baking soda, water, a tiny plastic dino, and drying time for a fun paleontology project. Kids will bring eggs home to dry and “hatch” the dino egg. Attention: Crafting can get messy. Please wear clothing that can get dirty.

Join us at 3:00pm for “Art for Tweens and Teens”, a program featuring projects for older kids. Participants will learn basic hand sewing skills while making patriotic stars from felt. We will be using needle and thread to make the felt stars.

Dino Fizzy Eggs (bath bombs)
